New family premium plan by Truecaller: Everything you need to know

Truecaller has launched a new subscription plan named Family Premium Plan, which can be shared between 5 family members. The new plan is not available in the United States, but the company has rolled out the Truecaller Family Premium Plan in other regions. The buyer has to invite the other four people after buying the family plan and their accounts will automatically upgrade.

The Truecaller family plan has been launched at a price of Rs 132 per month or Rs 925 per year in India. In the latest version, Truecaller offers three subscription plans; Premium, Gold and Family Premium Plan. The price of a premium subscription is Rs 529 per year for an individual member whereas a Gold plan costs Rs 5,000 per year.

Features you will get with the Truecaller Family Premium Plan are:

- No ads - Who viewed my profile - Incognito mode - Advanced spam blocking - Unlimited contact request - Announce calls (android only) - Ghost calls (android only)

For now, only Android users can buy the family premium plan but then they can add iOS users to the member list. The family members and the owner need to be from the same country otherwise they won’t be able to share the plan. Truecaller users who are already on a Connect plan will be upgraded to the family plan from the Premium screen.

Truecaller says it doesn’t share any personal information with the other family members except names and phone numbers used during the invitation process. The call logs, messages, or any other activity are kept private from other family members.

TrueCaller is a smartphone application that has features of caller identification, call-blocking, flash-messaging, call-recording (on Android up to version 8 ), and Chat & Voice by using the Internet. It requires users to provide a standard cellular mobile number for registering with the service.
