Sony HT A3000 and A5000 are two new premium soundbars in India: Know their price and features

Sony is known for its quality audio products and it has brought two new premium soundbars to India, namely Sony HT A3000 and A5000. They are available currently but there’s a small catch. You can’t buy them on their own but will have to grab them with the SW3 subwoofer as a bundle package, at the very least. Yes, there are combo packages that you can opt for. We’ll be getting into those details shortly, but first, let’s have a quick lowdown of their respective feature set.

Sony HT A3000 and A5000: Specs and Features

Sony HT A3000

The key differentiating factor between the two is their speaker configuration: - Sony HT A5000 is a 450W soundbar with 5.1.2-channel surround sound. This includes 3 forward-firing speakers, 2 beam tweeters, 2 upward-firing speakers, and 1 subwoofer.

- Sony HT A3000, meanwhile, comes equipped with a 240W 3.1-channel surround sound. This consists of 3 forward-firing speakers and a built-in dual-driver subwoofer.

Other than this, both of them offer comparable features like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, 360 Spatial Sound, Acoustic Centre Sync (with compatible Bravia TVs only), 1 HDMI-in, 1 HDMI-out (HDMI ARC/eARC), Bluetooth 5, WiFi, AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and support for popular smart assistants from Google and Amazon (Alexa).

Sony HT A3000 and A5000: Price and Availability

Coming to the combo packages mentioned in the beginning:

- You can purchase Sony HT A3000 and Sony SW3 subwoofer combo at ₹83,980, and A5000 with Sony SW3 subwoofer at ₹1,11,980.

- If you want to couple the soundbars with a more powerful Sony SW5 subwoofer, then the A3000 combo will cost you ₹1,10,980 and the A5000 combo will set you back by ₹1,38,980.

- Additionally, you can also add the RS3 or RS5 wireless rear speakers in the mix for ₹30,990 and ₹47,990 respectively. Needless to say, these are on top of what the soundbar+subwoofer package would cost.

- You can purchase the desired combo from Amazon India and shopatsc.com. Starting December 14, they will be available at Sony Center and other major retail stores as well.
