The Micromax In 1b didnt go on sale as planned

Micromax has just announced that the new Micromax In 1b smartphone will not be available today. The device was supposed to be available from 12:00pm onwards, but due to apparent logistical issues, the company will not be able to follow through. A company spokesperson stated, “We regret to inform you that IN 1b is not going on sale today as planned due to an issue with logistics. Will update you on the new sale date at the earliest.”

Micromax’s Founder and CEO, Rahul Sharma acknowledged the delay and sent out a tweet stating that there was a delay due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

It is not yet known when the phone will be available for consumers, but over on Micromax’s official website, the sale timer has been reset to suggest that the phone will be available in a week’s time. However, prospective buyers should still wait for an official confirmation from the company. 

To recall, the Micromax In 1b features a 6.52-inch HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor with 2GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB storage options to choose from. The phone supports storage expansion by using microSD cards of up to 128GB. Like the In Note 1, the In 1B also runs on stock Android.

The Micromax In 1b has a dual-camera setup on the back that consists of a primary 13MP camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera housed within the notch. Other features include a fingerprint reader on the back and a 5,000mAh battery. The 2GB+32GB variant is priced at Rs 6,999, while the 4GB+64GB variant is priced at Rs 7,999.

What if a botched Google search card says you are a serial killer

Many of us have come to heavily rely on Google Search and often don’t question the veracity of information Google cherry-picks from the vast data available on the world wide web for its search cards. This incident, which is one part funny and two parts scary, makes it clear that Google’s Knowlege Graph may not be as sacrosanct as you may have believed.  Hristo Georgiev was informed by a former colleague that a Google search of his name returned a Google Knowlege Graph that depicted his photo and linked it to a Bulgarian rapist and serial killer of the same name, also known as ‘The Sadist’, who murdered five people back in the 1970s and was later executed by shooting.  The graph linked the info to a Wikipedia article, which incidentally had no link to any of Georgiev’s profile or his image.
