HMD Global has launched the Nokia 2.4 smartphone in India. The new phone brings an AI-based dual camera to the series along with a bunch of other features. As always, users are guaranteed two years of OS updates, which means that the device will be updated with Android 11 and Android 12.
The Nokia 2.4 packs a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 1600x720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio and a water drop notch on top. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 3GB RAM. it also offers 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card. In terms of optics, the phone packs a dual-rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. One of the most notable features of the phone is that Nokia claims to offer a battery life of up to two-days via its modest 4500mAh battery. The company says that the Nokia 2.4 is able to do this thanks to the AI-assisted Adaptive Battery which learns what apps are being used the most and prioritises power for them. The Nokia 2.4 also comes with a die-cast metal frame and a 3D nano-textured cover.
Price and availabilityThe Nokia 2.4 will be available in three colour options, namely Dusk, Fjord and Charcoal. It will be priced at Rs 10,399. The device will be available from today on Nokia’s own website here. Further, the first 100 customers that successfully place an order between today and December 4, 11:59pm IST will get a 007 merchandise hamper consisting of a 007 special edition bottle, cap and a metal keychain. The phone will be available on Amazon and Flipkart, retail outlets from December 4 onwards.
As an added bonus, Jio subscribers who purchase the phone will be entitled to benefits worth Rs 3,550. This would include a cashback of Rs 2,000 on the prepaid recharge of the Rs 349 plan and Rs 1,550 worth of vouchers from partners.
