Nokia 93 PureView delayed to the first half of 2021: Report

If you were looking forward to a flagship phone from Nokia in 2021, then you may need to wait a little while longer. Twitter user Nokia anew has tweeted, “Some bad news. The Nokia 9.3 PureView won’t be unveiled this year. The announcement was postponed to the first half of 2021. The month is still unknown”.

So, it looks like the Nokia 9.3 PureView has been delayed yet again. The smartphone was delayed to the end of 2020 due to the pandemic and it now looks like we will see the flagship phone from Nokia in 2021. The Nokia 9.3 PureView was expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and it remains to be seen whether Nokia will continue with this chipset or move to the newer rumoured Snapdragon 875 chip pegged to launch soon. 

The Nokia 9.3 PureView was expected to be a successor to the Nokia 9 PureView that launched back in 2019. The Nokia 9 PureView bright with it a 5.99-inch 18:9 P-OLED display with a 2K resolution and support for HDR. The highlighting feature of the smartphone was the 5-camera stack on the back. All 5 cameras have a 12MP resolution. Three of the five cameras have monochrome sensors and the other two are RGB sensors. While we wait for Nokia to dip its toes in the flagship space, Nokia has had a steady stream of smartphone launches in 2020. The company recently launched the Nokia 2.4 priced at Rs 10,399. The device sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 1600x720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with 3GB RAM. It also offers 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded by up to 512GB via a microSD card. When it comes to the camera, the smartphone has a dual-rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. A 4500mAh battery powers the entire package. In addition to smartphones, Nokia also has TVs in India. The company recently launched six new TVs in India in different screen sizes ranging from 32-inches going all the way up to the 65-inch 4K UHD. The new TVs boast of sound by Onkyo. What if a botched Google search card says you are a serial killer

Many of us have come to heavily rely on Google Search and often don’t question the veracity of information Google cherry-picks from the vast data available on the world wide web for its search cards. This incident, which is one part funny and two parts scary, makes it clear that Google’s Knowlege Graph may not be as sacrosanct as you may have believed.  Hristo Georgiev was informed by a former colleague that a Google search of his name returned a Google Knowlege Graph that depicted his photo and linked it to a Bulgarian rapist and serial killer of the same name, also known as ‘The Sadist’, who murdered five people back in the 1970s and was later executed by shooting.  The graph linked the info to a Wikipedia article, which incidentally had no link to any of Georgiev’s profile or his image.
