Tecno Camon 20 launched below 15,000, with stiff competition from iQOO Z6 Lite

Tecno Camon 20 series has launched in India including Tecno Camon 20, Tecno Camon 20 Pro and Tecno Camon 20 Premier. The vanilla model starts at ₹14,999 and at that price, iQOO Z6 Lite is also present with some serious performance chops. One may find it a better phone in some respect. Tecno Camon 20 is better specced than iQOO Z6 Lite in these areas:

Tecno Camon 20 has a larger 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. Beneath, there is a fingerprint reader also.

It has the latest Android 13 software with HIOS 13 skin on top.

When it comes to the cameras, on both the front and back sides, the sensors are larger in the megapixel count. The front one is 32 megapixels. The rear setup consists of a 64MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

The phone also has an upper hand thanks to the presence of IP53 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 5.2, and faster 33W charging support.

Meanwhile, iQOO Z6 Lite is a 5G-capable phone and has a better processor than Tecno Camon 20. iQOO Z6 Lite is powered by a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. The performance is spearheaded by Cortex A78 cores clocked at a max frequency of 2.0GHz.

Tecno Camon 20 is available in a solo 8GB+256GB memory configuration. It is priced at ₹14,999 in India. You can buy it in Predawn Black, Serenity Blue, and Glacier Glow colours starting May 29 on Amazon.

On the other hand, we have the iQOO Z6 Lite which launched last September. It is currently up for grabs at ₹13,999 via Amazon. This is a 6+128GB memory combination. 

Interestingly, the lower 4+64GB model is retailing for ₹14,445 on Flipkart.

Facebook to shut down standalone gaming app in Oct

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Meta is winding up its standalone Facebook Gaming app on both Android and iOS from October 28. The app will also be not available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Meta did not elaborate on why it is shuttering the standalone gaming app. "Despite this news, our mission to connect players, fans and creators with the games they love hasn't changed, and you'll still be able to find your games, streamers and groups when you visit Gaming in the Facebook app," reads a banner on its website.
