5 features of the new Dell Alienware laptops that just launched in India

Dell India has launched a new batch of Alienware and Inspiron laptops. Here we will be focussing on the gaming laptops named Alienware m18 and x16 R1. They come with Intel 13th gen processors and Nvidia GeForce 40-series GPUs. The heating solution and design have been improved. These could be considered as some of the reasons they may appeal to PC gamers. Let’s dig deeper to learn more about the new Dell laptops.

Dell Alienware m18 and x16 R1 specs and features

1. Alienware m18 and x16 R1 feature what’s called a Legend 3.0 design. The angular edges are now smoothened out for easier ergonomics. They are made out of Aluminum and carry a dark two-tone finish. The laptops also come with CherryMX mechanical keyboard.

2. Going with the trends, the new Alienware laptops offer a 16:10 aspect ratio display. The m18 has got a 165Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution. Being the premium one of the lot, the x16 R1 rocks a 240Hz QHD+ screen with a 3ms response time with Nvidia Advanced Optimus and G-sync support. The displays also feature Dolby Vision, and ComfortView Plus blue-light filter. Above the screen, there is an FHD webcam for video calls with noise cancellation. For sound, there are Dolby Atmos-aided speakers.  

3. Under the hood, the Alienware m18 and x16 R1 are powered by up to 13th gen Intel Core i9 13980HX and 13900HK processors respectively. The graphics are handled by up to 16GB GDDR6 Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs. The m18 supports DDR5 RAM while the x16 R1 gets LPDDR5 memory. You get more RAM and PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage on the Alienware m18.

4. You also get new and improved thermal solutions such as an Element 31 thermal interface and a larger vapour chamber and fan system for a 25% better airflow claim.

5. The m18 houses a bigger 97WHr battery and faster 330W charger compared to 90WHr battery and 240W charger on the x16 R1.
