3 Xiaomi Mix 5 specs leaked, could feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC

After the Xiaomi Mix 4, which was released back in 2021, Xiaomi is looking to roll out its successor pretty soon. Even though there has been no official communication from the smartphone brand, an online leak has revealed the expected specifications of this upcoming phone. 

Tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to post a live image of the Xiaomi Mix 5. Let's have a look.

The post suggests that the rumoured Xiaomi phone will have a boxy look with slim bezels on all sides. We cannot see a cutout for the camera on the display but it might be possible that the phone will have a camera under the display.

It will reportedly sport a 6.73-inch AMOLED which is bigger than the Xiaomi Mix 4. It might have a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels.

It could be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Further, we can expect the phone to have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and it might run on Android 13-based MIUI 14.

We are hoping that the upcoming Xiaomi Mix 5 will have a bigger 4,820mAh battery when compared to its predecessor. It might also support 200-watt fast charging.

Xiaomi Mix 4 specifications

-Its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mix 4, offered a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. 

-It is powered by the Snapdragon 888+ processor and it operates on Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 OS.

-On the camera front, it offers a triple camera setup. It has a 108-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto along with a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens.

-It has a 4500mAh battery which supports 120-watt fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging.

Facebook to shut down standalone gaming app in Oct

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Meta is winding up its standalone Facebook Gaming app on both Android and iOS from October 28. The app will also be not available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Meta did not elaborate on why it is shuttering the standalone gaming app. "Despite this news, our mission to connect players, fans and creators with the games they love hasn't changed, and you'll still be able to find your games, streamers and groups when you visit Gaming in the Facebook app," reads a banner on its website.
