Gigabyte launches new gaming laptops from the Aorus, Aero, and G5 Series

Gigabyte has added new laptops in its gaming laptops lineup from three new series, namely AORUS, AERO and G5. The lineup includes Aorus 17 BSF, Aorus 15 BKF, Aorus 15 9SF, Aorus 15 9KF, Aorus 15 9MF, Aero 14 OLED BMF, Aero 14 OLED 9MF, G5 KF, and G5 MF. Gigabyte claims the laptops are specced for high-performance gaming and heavy workloads. For instance, the laptops feature the Intel 13th Gen Core processors and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 mobile GPU.

Aorus 17 and Aorus 15 are the portable laptops offered by this brand. It is powered by the Intel Core 13th Gen i7 H-series processors. It also has up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with a TGP of 140-watt.

Coming to the display, the Aorus series comes with 17.3-inch and 15.6-inch displays which offer QHD resolution along with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Coming to the Aero 14 OLED, there have been various upgrades to both its build and performance. It is packed with 13th Gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series laptop GPUs. It offers a 2.8K QHD+ OLED display which also comes with Pantone tuning for precise colours.

Further, the G5 series is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 Series mobile GPUs. It's a mid-range gaming laptop with a 144Hz refresh rate panel.

These new G5 laptops are 22% smaller and lighter than their predecessors. Gigabyte also offers a WINDFORCE cooling technology in all three lineups which allows the laptops to become more efficient and silent in its cooling process.

Facebook to shut down standalone gaming app in Oct

New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Meta is winding up its standalone Facebook Gaming app on both Android and iOS from October 28. The app will also be not available on Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Meta did not elaborate on why it is shuttering the standalone gaming app. "Despite this news, our mission to connect players, fans and creators with the games they love hasn't changed, and you'll still be able to find your games, streamers and groups when you visit Gaming in the Facebook app," reads a banner on its website. "We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for everything that you've done to build a thriving community for gamers and fans since this app first launched," the notice added.
