Google Workspace offerings have become a part of office lingo, with almost everyone relying on Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides to present data. Understanding the ever-evolving needs of the workplace, Google has now announced new updates for its Workspace products that are bound to enhance the user experience. These updates are said to impact search and data-sharing features significantly.
What are the new Google Workspace updates?Google Workspace has new updates across Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides. Users will now be able to resize pivot tables on the side panels on Google Sheets. This feature will certainly come in handy in situations where the names of columns are too long to be displayed.
Earlier this year, Google rolled out a handy update that allows users to join Google Meet calls via Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. Additionally, meeting hosts can also share files that are being displayed via screen share with other attendees by simply pasting the link onto the chat field. As a result, attendees with a dodgy network can also access the pertinent data during the presentations. Users will also be able to grant file access to attendees right then and there, reducing the typical back-and-forths that one encounters when access isn’t shared correctly.
Google Workspace offerings have also recently been given a new Material You update to tie all the products together aesthetically.
Google search updates in GmailGoogle has also announced search updates in Gmail. A user’s recent Gmail activity will be used to enhance search results when the user is conducting searches in the same Google account on the web browser. According to the tech giant, the search results will be more contextual and relevant for the users.
These new updates will be available within the next 15 days.
