OnePlus Buds Z Steve Harrington special edition launched in India: Price and features

OnePlus Buds Z special edition in collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Steve Harrington has officially launched in India. Steve, best known for creating stylized graffiti, caricatures and designs has created a new character called Cool Cat featured on the OnePlus Buds Z. The limited-edition OnePlus Buds Z has a dual-tone purple and mint colour combination that does look chic. 

“For the OnePlus Buds Z, it was not just about adding quirky design elements, but also visually telling the story of sound and communication," Steve says. “At OnePlus, we always look for meaningful collaborations that our community desires. We are excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Steven Harrington to combine his unique art with our user-friendly products,” added Pete Lau, CEO, OnePlus.

The special edition OnePlus Buds Z Steve Harrington edition is priced at Rs 3,699 in India. The TWS earphones will go on sale first for the Red Cable Club members from January 25 to midnight January 26 after which an open sale will be hosted from January 27 across OnePlus India store, Amazon, Flipkart and offline OnePlus stores.

OnePlus Buds Z Steve Harrington edition has an all-new design with purple and mint green dual-tone finish featuring doodles and a new character called Cool Cat. Apart from that, the internal features of the Buds Z remain the same as the regular variant. 

The OnePlus Buds Z sport 10mm drivers, as opposed to 13.4mm drivers on the OnePlus Buds. The sound is optimised by Dirac Audio and Dolby Atmos, delivering stereo surround sound, and there are touch controls to wake Google Assistant or play/pause music. There are also two microphones in each bud for noise isolation, voice commands and answering calls.

OnePlus Buds Z can deliver 5 hours of battery life on a single charge, and an additional 15 hours from the charging case. Additionally, with fast charging support, the Buds Z offers 3 hours of battery life on 10 minutes of charge. There’s Bluetooth 5.0 support and silicone ear tips make for passive noise cancellation.

2020 iPhone could support time-of-flight 3D sensors: Report

While the 2019 iPhones are yet to be launched, the rumour mill is already churning out predictions for the 2020 iPhones. According to some reports, Apple is expected to release three new iPhones this year. As for 2020, the tech giant could supposedly incorporate time-of-flight (ToF) sensors in the future iPhones. Additionally, Apple might also include 5G connectivity in next year’s iPhone models. Previously, a report speculated that Apple might introduce VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) ToF sensors on the rear of the 2020 iPhone models. The setup is similar to the TrueDepth camera setup found on the current iPhone models, but on the front. Ming Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, has also predicted that Apple might bring ToF sensors to its 2020 iPhone lineup. In the latest research note shared by 9to5Mac, Kuo claims that at least two of the 2020 iPhone models could feature a ToF sensor on the rear. Furthermore, Kuo added that Apple might introduce three iPhone models next ye
