OnePlus Fold to launch in August: 5 reasons to be excited about it

With all the foldable phones launching in the Indian market, OnePlus is all set to join the party with its very own foldable smartphone. And according to online speculation, OnePlus’ first foldable is expected to arrive very soon. 

News is now out that the OnePlus foldable will be unveiled in New York around the first half of August 2023. This means that OnePlus’ announcement will be made just after a couple of weeks of Samsung's expected foldables launch, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. So, OnePlus is basically aiming at shifting people's attention from Samsung to OnePlus. 

So, now let's have a look at a few reasons that rumours tell us you should be excited about regarding the OnePlus foldable

5 reasons to be excited about OnePlus foldable

Reason 1: According to rumour mills, the upcoming OnePlus foldable should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Reason 2: The foldable phone should be packed with a 4,800mAh battery accompanied by a 80W wired fast charging support, as per latest leaks and hints. This will make the OnePlus foldable potentially one of the fastest charging and highest battery capacity foldable smartphones in the market.

Reason 3: As for the storage, the phone should have 16GB of RAM and up to a whopping 512GB of internal storage, which is quite good if you think about it.

Reason 4: In terms of camera chops, the OnePlus foldable phone should have a triple lensed rear camera setup with a 50MP primary lens with OIS, 48MP ultrawide lens and 32MP periscope telephoto lens. Up front a 32MP selfie camera is also expected. 

Reason 5: The best part, the OnePlus Fold is rumoured to have a global launch with immediate availability across several countries, including of course the Indian market.

So, now we wait for the official OnePlus foldable announcement to confirm the features that have got us all excited. Hopefully, the rumours turn out to be true.
