MacBook Air 15: Bigger screen is a huge hit, largest ever in a MacBook Air

After Apple revealed it at WWDC 23 last week, the MacBook Air 15-inch laptop finally goes on sale starting from today - June 13 - all over the world. And right on cue, the first global reviews of the M2-chip based MacBook Air 15 have dropped overnight.

Spoiler alert: Almost all of these early reviews of the MacBook Air 15 are in love with its bigger, larger screen.

Everyone from international technology publications to YouTube content creators are nothing short of raving about the MacBook Air 15’s boosted screen dimensions. Early reviews of the MacBook Air 15 are praising the laptop’s bigger screen packed into a thin-and-light form factor.

In case you didn’t know, this is the very first time that Apple has released a 15-inch screen variant of the MacBook Air – since the MacBook Air’s inception back in 2008, when Steve Jobs unveiled it from inside a manila folder to show the world just how thin the original MacBook Air was!

Well, circa 2023, and Apple’s latest MacBook Air 15 is even thinner at 1.15-cm to the original MacBook Air’s 1.9-cm thickness! That’s not all, the new MacBook Air 15 is obviously much better in terms of performance thanks to Apple’s M2-chip inside.

However, the highlight of the MacBook Air 15 is nothing but its larger dimensions, which allows it to pack in a superior 15-inch IPS display, supporting 2880 x 1864 pixel resolution at 500-nits brightness. The increased size of the MacBook Air 15 not only offers users a bigger screen to play with but also a better typing and trackpad experience.

MacBook Air 15 price in India

Compared to the existing 13-inch MacBook Air sold by Apple currently, the MacBook Air 15 is no doubt bigger and better in terms of usability, but it’s also slightly more expensive. Where the MacBook Air 13 starts at ₹114900, the MacBook Air 15 is available at ₹134900 – which is ₹20,000 more. Not only does the 15-inch MacBook Air offer a bigger display but also a slightly enhanced 10-core GPU even in its base variant – the 13-inch MacBook Air in comparison only comes with a 8-core GPU in its base variant.
