JioTag takes on Apple Airtag with these 3 key differences

Apple AirTag might just have a new competitor in the market. Jio has introduced the JioTag which is not only an alternative but also a much cheaper option. The JioTag has been listed on Jio's official website and has revealed all the details for the same. Let's have a look at its key features.

Key features of the JioTag

JioTag is Bluetooth enabled and works in a range of up to 20 metres indoors and 50 metres outdoors. 

The device doesn’t have any colour variants except for white. 

The JioTag can be used to track down lost or misplaced items like keys, wallets and so on. 

You can also find your phone using JioTag when you are not able to track it and also help your phone ring when it's on silent. In case if you have misplaced the JioTag, then you can mark it as lost on the JioThings app and the Jio Community. It will help search and report the location of the JioTag.

JioTag and Apple AirTag

1. The JioTag is available for ₹749 whereas the Apple AirTag comes for ₹3,490. The JioTag may not have all the features of the Apple AirTag but it is not much behind. 

2. While JioTag works max within a 50 meter range, the Airtag with help of the global iPhone network (or Find My Network) works in a way larger radius. It is rated to work within 33 feet of an iPhone.

3. AirTag sports IP67 dust and water resistance while JioTag’s ingress rating isn’t mentioned.
