The OnePlus Ace launch tells us what to expect out of OnePlus 10R

OnePlus Ace has been announced in the company’s home market along with the OnePlus Buds N TWS earphones. Now both these products are expected to be rebadged as the OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Nord Buds in India. The OnePlus Ace debut was hence something we were waiting for just so we could dig around and know in advance what to expect out of the OnePlus 10R launch event on April 28. For instance, we have learned that the OnePlus Ace’s or the OnePlus 10R’s MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max boasts improved AI capabilities. So, without any further ado, let’s break down the complete specifications of both new OnePlus devices.

OnePlus Ace sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ playback support, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a central cutout for housing a 16MP selfie snapper. 

On the back, the Ace wields a 50MP IMX766 primary camera accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter and a 2MP bokeh lens. 

Internally, the phone is driven by a Dimensity 8100 Max which is said to have better AI prowess than the regular 8100 SoC. It is coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also a 4500mAh battery with 150W fast charging support inside.

The software offered is Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1. The paraphernalia also consists of an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, a USB-C 2.0 port, etc.

OnePlus Buds N Specs and Features

OnePlus Buds N comes with a flat stem, in-ear tips, 12.4mm dynamic drivers, Dolby Atmos audio support, two mics, 94ms low-latency game-mode, touch controls, Bluetooth 5.2, IP55 ingress resistance, and a claimed 30 hours of music playback on a single charge. The case packs a 480mAh battery and each bud bears a 41mAh cell inside.

Price and Availability

OnePlus Ace or OnePlus 10R

OnePlus Ace comes in black and blue colorways. It is priced at CNY 2,499 (~₹29,537) for the 8+128GB model, CNY 2,699 (~₹31,901) for the 8+256GB model, CNY 2,999 (~₹35,447) for the 12+256GB variant, and CNY 3,499 (~₹41,357) for the 12+512GB variant.

OnePlus Buds N is priced at CNY 199(~₹2352). It is out in Black and White colors.

2020 iPhone could support time-of-flight 3D sensors: Report

While the 2019 iPhones are yet to be launched, the rumour mill is already churning out predictions for the 2020 iPhones.
