Mi Notebook Ultra and Notebook Pro with Intel 11th Gen Processors Launched: Price, Specifications

At its Smarter Living event 2022, Xiaomi has launched two new premium yet competitively priced laptops - Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro. The display is the primary differentiator between these two Mi Notebooks that will both be available in 11th Generation Intel Core i7 and Core i5 variants with Iris Xe graphics. 

Price and availability 

The Mi Notebook Ultra and Mi Notebook Pro will be available on Xiaomi’s official India website, Amazon. in, and Mi Home stores starting August 31 in a single colour option - Lustrous Gray.

The Mi Notebook Pro and Mi Notebook Ultra brandish Aluminum casing. The Ultra is marginally thicker (17.9 mm vs 17.3 mm) and heavier (1.7 Kgs vs 1.4 Kgs), but it also has a significantly bigger 15.6-inch (3200 x 2000 resolution, 90Hz) display compared to the 14-inch (2560 x 1600, 60Hz) screen on the Pro model. 

Xiaomi claims 100 per cent sRGB coverage for the anti-glare IPS LCD panel on both Ultra and Pro. The displays on these notebooks can get 300 nits bright and have TÃœV low blue light certification.

Being the bigger of the two, the Mi Notebook Ultra also houses a bigger 70Whr battery as compared to the 56Whr unit on the Notebook Pro. The 83-key Scissor keyboard on the Mi Notebook Ultra has 1.5 mm key travel while the one on the slimmer Mi Notebook Pro has 1.3 mm key travel. 

Other specifications are similar on both models. 

These machines are powered by 11th-Gen Intel Tiger Lake H-series Core i7-11370H and Core i5-11300H processors paired with up to 16GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD. 

Both laptops support 65W charging, have two 2W stereo speakers, a 720p webcam, fingerprint sensor, and run Windows 10 Home software. 

Connectivity options include Thunderbolt 4 with power delivery, USB Type-C with power delivery, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 1.4, 3.5 mm combo jack, built-in microphone, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

2020 iPhone could support time-of-flight 3D sensors: Report

While the 2019 iPhones are yet to be launched, the rumour mill is already churning out predictions for the 2020 iPhones. According to some reports, Apple is expected to release three new iPhones this year. As for 2020, the tech giant could supposedly incorporate time-of-flight (ToF) sensors in the future iPhones.
