Xiaomi Redmi 9A gets a new variant: Price and specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 9A has launched with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in China as a new model of the Redmi 9A. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9A on September 2, earlier this month starting at Rs 6,799. The phone is available in two variants-- 2GB+32GB and 3GB+32GB but there’s no word whether the company is planning to launch the new 6GB RAM variant in India anytime soon.

The Redmi 9A with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 999 in China which roughly translates to around Rs 10,000 by direct conversion. The Redmi 9A launched in China is also available in 4GB+128GB storage variant but that model didn’t make it to the Indian market. Currently, Xiaomi has the Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi 9i, Redmi 9 and Redmi 9A in its arsenal as the budget offerings and so it is unlikely that we will see the company introduce a new variant of the Redmi 9A in India anytime soon.

Xiaomi Redmi 9A starts at Rs 6,799 in India for the base variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and Rs 7,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. It is available to purchase from Amazon India, Mi India website, Mi Home stores and with offline retailers.
