Garena Free Fires October Elite Pass will be called Anubis Legend II, will feature an Ancient Egypt theme

Garena Free Fire has announced its latest Elite Pass (EP). Called Anubis Legend II, the new pass features and Ancient Egyptian theme. The latest EP is a continuation of the first Anuis Legends EP that was released back in February 2019. The release shared by Garena reveals that the new Elite Pass features a planet that is on the edge of destruction and many of its major powers come together to recoup their losses. 

The release notes, “in this continuation of the Anubis Legend EP, a future timeline within the Free Fire universe has entered doomsday, with four major countries working together peacefully to recover the world’s crumbled economy and ravaged environment. Behind the scenes, one leader’s advisors are making moves to put an end to the Republic of Kemet’s leadership, Princess Isira and Queen Amala. Fortunately, King Solaris and the princess are well versed in combat and can join forces to fight off any and all assassination attempts.”

As one might expect, the new Elite Pass includes a bunch of rewards that players can get. This includes Egyptian-themed skins, the Relic Guardian (Solaris) and the Relic Monarch (Isira) skin bundles. Other rewards include the Cursed Serpent backpack, the Pharaoh Hound Loot Crate, the Anubis Legend II Grenade skin, and the Pharaoh’s Ride surfboard skin. 

The month of September was pretty big for Garena Free Fire as the month saw a bunch of events and skins centred about the popular TV show, Money Heist. The month saw a bunch of notable events including a free giveaway of the Detective Panda pet. There was also a recent update that finally allowed players to play the game in Hindi.

Jio effect: Bharti Airtel may soon shut down 2G, 3G and shift on 4G-only network

Taking a cue from Reliance Jio which offers only 4G network, Bharti Airtel is looking to transform it current setup to become the second 4G-only network provider in India. According to the company’s Chief Executive, Gopal Vittal, Airtel is expediting steps to deploy the fourth generation airwaves in the 900 Mhz band, which are currently used only for 2G voice services, to 4G only. The Economic Times said that Airtel has 116 units of airwaves in the 900 MHz band across 16 circles. “We are seeing dramatic growth in 4G demand, and over a period of time, the 900 Mhz band will purely serve our 4G customers, while 2G services will be continue to be available on the 1800 Mhz band,” Vittal said, adding that the company will have “a transition strategy in place” in the run-up to deploying all its 900 MHz band spectrum for 4G services.
