Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro will feature India-exclusive specs: Launch timeline tipped

A few weeks ago, Vivo launched the V29e in India, which featured a very cool design. Now the Chinese brand is said to launch the next V29 series smartphones in India by the end of this month. These smartphones could be the Vivo V29 and Vivo V29 Pro. Not just that, the smartphones could also roll out with elegant designs and colours inspired by India. Furthermore, the Vivo V29 Pro that launches in the country will be India-exclusive.

According to a report by 91mobiles, the Vivo V29 smartphones will launch in Majestic Red colour that is inspired by India. Moreover, the smartphones are also said to come with India-exclusive specifications, meaning the same smartphones will not be available outside India.

Vivo V29 specifications

The report also revealed the launch timeline. The Vivo V29 and V29 Pro are expected to launch by the end of this month. However, the brand hasn’t shared any specifications about the smartphones yet, but we can expect the teasing to start soon. 

Vivo has already rolled out the Vivo V29 5G in the global market. Let’s check out what their specifications say.

The Vivo V29 (Global variant) features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a support of up to 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on Funtouch OS 13 skin based on Android 13 operating system.

Vivo V29 launch

It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor to operate and is powered by a 4600mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging support. The Vivo V29 comes in three memory options; 8GB 128GB, 8GB 256GB, and 12GB 256GB. 

For photography, it uses a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support on the back. Along with that, there are two more sensors that are an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens. On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie shooter as well.

Jio effect: Bharti Airtel may soon shut down 2G, 3G and shift on 4G-only network

Taking a cue from Reliance Jio which offers only 4G network, Bharti Airtel is looking to transform it current setup to become the second 4G-only network provider in India. According to the company’s Chief Executive, Gopal Vittal, Airtel is expediting steps to deploy the fourth generation airwaves in the 900 Mhz band, which are currently used only for 2G voice services, to 4G only.
