Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, Pad Air And Enco X2 Launching Today In India: How To Watch Live, Expected Pricing And More

Oppo Reno 8 series alongside the Oppo Pad Air tablet and Oppo Enco X2 TWS earbuds are all set to launch later today in India. The Reno 8 series includes the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro that features a 50MP main camera, 80W fast charging support, AMOLED display with a high refresh rate and a 4,500mAh battery to boot. Oppo will also introduce its first tablet in India, the Oppo Pad Air with Snapdragon 680 chip and a large 10.3-inch display. Meanwhile, the Oppo Enco X2 features active noise cancellation support and is the company’s flagship earbuds.

Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro launch: How to watch the event live?

Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro leaked pricing

As per the latest leak, the Oppo Reno 8 is expected to be priced starting at Rs 29,990 for the base 8GB+128GB while the 256GB variant could be priced at Rs 31,990. There are also rumours of a 12GB+256GB version which could be priced at Rs 33,990.

The Reno 8 Pro is expected to be priced at Rs 44,990 for the 12GB+256GB storage model in India.

Oppo Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro expected specifications

The Reno 8 is expected to feature a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by the Dimensity 1300 chip and has triple cameras on the back that includes 50MP+2MP+2MP cameras along with a 32MP selfie camera. The Reno 8 has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast wired charging.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by the Dimensity 8100-Max chip and also has triple cameras on the back in a 50MP+8MP+2MP setup. There’s a 32MP selfie camera up front and the Reno 8 Pro has the same 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging out-of-the-box.

Jio effect: Bharti Airtel may soon shut down 2G, 3G and shift on 4G-only network

Taking a cue from Reliance Jio which offers only 4G network, Bharti Airtel is looking to transform it current setup to become the second 4G-only network provider in India. According to the company’s Chief Executive, Gopal Vittal, Airtel is expediting steps to deploy the fourth generation airwaves in the 900 Mhz band, which are currently used only for 2G voice services, to 4G only. The Economic Times said that Airtel has 116 units of airwaves in the 900 MHz band across 16 circles. “We are seeing dramatic growth in 4G demand, and over a period of time, the 900 Mhz band will purely serve our 4G customers, while 2G services will be continue to be available on the 1800 Mhz band,” Vittal said, adding that the company will have “a transition strategy in place” in the run-up to deploying all its 900 MHz band spectrum for 4G services.
