Oppo Reno 3 Pro, Reno 3 with quad rear cameras, dual-mode 5G support launched in China

Oppo has launched the successor to its Reno2 lineup - the Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro. Both the smartphones were launched in China on December 26. Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro support dual-mode 5G and come with quad rear camera setup. Moreover, Oppo Reno 3 is the first phone to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC. Here’s everything you need to know about the two phones.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro specifications

Oppo Reno 3 features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) curved AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. According to the company, the display attributes include 402ppi pixel density. Other attributes include a 5000000: 1 contrast ratio, 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, and HDR10+ support. Oppo Reno 3 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. It runs Android 10 with ColorOS 7 skin on top.

On the optics front, Oppo Reno 3 Pro sports a quad rear camera setup: a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX586 sensor and f/1.7 aperture, assisted by OIS and EIS + an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 116-degrees field of view + a 13MP telephoto lens with EIS and 5x hybrid zoom support + a 2MP monochrome lens with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front lies a 32MP selfie shooter housed inside the hole-punch. The rear camera can shoot 1080p slo-mo videos at 120fps.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro packs a 4025mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication and supports multi-function NFC. 

Oppo Reno 3 Pro price

Oppo Reno 3 Pro is priced at CNY 3,999 (Rs 40,000 approx) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model will cost buyers CNY 4,499 (Rs 45,000 approx). It will be made available in Misty White, Moon Night Black, Sunrise Impression, and Blue Starry Night colour options. The base variant will go on sale starting December 31 in China, while the higher-end variant will be made available January 10 onwards.

Oppo Reno 3 specifications

Oppo Reno 3 features a 6.4-inch TUV Rheinland-certified display with a waterdrop notch. It is powered by the octa-core 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G SoC. It also sports a 64MP quad rear camera setup with an 8MP wide-angle sensor. On the front lies a 32MP selfie shooter.

Oppo Reno 3 packs a 4025mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 fast charging support that has a peak 30W output. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.

Oppo Reno 3 price

Oppo Reno 3 will cost CNY 3,399 (Rs 34,000 approx) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and CNY 3,699 (Rs. 36,999 approx) for the 12GB RAM RAM + 128GB storage variant. It will go on sale starting December 31 in China.

There is no word on the availability of Oppo Reno 3 lineup in international markets, including India.
