The main camera supports dual PD autofocus, AI scene detection and is capable of capturing portrait images as well. On the front is an 8MP sensor that is housed in the waterdrop notch. While there’s no fingerprint sensor on the device, it supports AI face unlock.

The Redmi 8A sports a Type-C port and is backed by a 5000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. As per the company, the handset can be fully charged from 0 to 100 in just under three hours. It is also P2i splash-proof, gets a 3.5mm audio jack and supports wireless FM radio.
