Google Doodle launches throwback games urging people to stay home and play

It’s now been over a month that the entire country has been under lockdown to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Naturally, a lot of you all have extra time on your hands with nothing much to do. If you also feel the pinch of boredom during these uncertain times, Google has something for you. Today’s Google Doodle is about staying home and playing a few old games made by the doodle team.

Today’s Google Doodle features a kid dressed as one of the O’s from Google who is sitting in front of a computer and playing a game. The text below the doodle reads "Stay and play at home with popular past Google Doodles”.

Clicking on the doodle will take you to a game that was first shared by Google in 2017 to celebrate 50 years of kids coding. It features a rabbit with various carrots placed in front of him which has to be collected.

Why old games you ask? Google says, “As Covid-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people and families everywhere are spending more time at home. In light of this, we are launching a throwback doodle series looking back at some of our popular interactive Google Doodle games.”

The series will feature ten such throwback games.
