OnePlus 6T6 OxygenOS Open Beta 210 update brings caller id feature, new tools for Gallery and more

Key Highlights: OnePlus 6T and 6 are now receiving Open Beta 2 and 10 updates respectively The two phones get the same features with the new update OnePlus is introducing a caller id feature for OnePlus 6T/6 users in India   OnePlus is rolling out the OxygenOS Open Beta 2 and Open Beta 10 for the OnePlus 6T and the OnePlus 6 respectively. Both open beta updates bring the same updates and features for both the phones, which includes optimisations for their System, Phone, Gallery and the Launcher. A notable addition in these builds is the introduction of caller identification feature, which is available only for OnePlus 6T/6 users in India. Do note that the new builds are being seeded OTA and the company notes that since these are in beta, one might encounter some bugs or issues. Those users who are already running beta builds on their OnePlus 6T/6 should soon receive the update and those users who are on the stable builds will need to flash their phone with the new build, which can be done by following OnePlus’ instructions stated here. Going in-depth, the ‘System’ updates brought along with the new Open Beta builds include Improvements for screen brightness control, the feature to confirm pin without tapping for app locker, improved colour adaptation for navigation bar when using third-party apps, along with general bug fixes and system stability improvements. The UI for Call History is also improved and as mentioned above, OnePlus 6T/6 users in India will get to use the caller identification feature. There are some improvements to the Gallery app too and it now features create a collection, copy and move photos options. One will notice new illustrations and design on blank pages. Finally, for the Launcher, OnePlus has added recommended tools in toolbox and Improved Ul for category tags in app drawer. OnePlus surely is rolling out updates at a good pace since a week ago, it rolled out the Open Beta 1 for the OnePlus 6T and now the second one is out as well. Speaking of the OnePlus 6T, the company has announced some year-end offers on the smartphone and is offering discounts for those who purchase the device between December 26, 2018 and January 6, 2019. One will get to avail Rs 1,500 instant discount when purchasing the device via Amazon.in on all EMI transactions carried out using HDFC bank credit and debit cards. There will also be a six-month no-cost EMI on the device who buy the phone via Amazon.in, oneplus.in, Croma outlets and all OnePlus exclusive offline stores. In addition, one can also avail up to Rs 2,000 off when they exchange their old OnePlus device for the OnePlus 6T.
