Counter-Strike 2's release is right around the corner. Valve had set the release date to be in the Summer of 2023, and as we get closer and closer to the full release of the game, the Counter-Strike 2 limited test beta has been getting some exciting new updates. In the latest update to the beta, Valve has added the first fully overhauled map to the game – de_overpass. At the time of the announcement, Valve had mentioned that the new Source 2 upgrade would bring along three categories of maps to the game – touch stone maps, upgrade maps, and full overhaul maps. Touch stone maps, for example - de_dust2 would get some slight changes but will remain to be the primary testing ground for the beta testers. Upgrade maps, for example - de_nuke would make use of Source 2’s lighting and materials. And, full overhaul maps, for example - de_overpass would be, in the words of Valve, “fully rebuilt from the ground up, leveraging all of the new Source 2 tools and rendering features.” ...
