OnePlus 10 Pro to launch in January, confirms CEO Pete Lau

OnePlus 10 Pro will launch sometime in January, CEO Pete Lau has officially confirmed. The OnePlus 10 Pro is one of the most anticipated flagship phones of 2022 and succeeds the OnePlus 9 Pro. It has been a part of leaks previously and we also know how it’s going to look if OnePlus goes ahead with the same design as seen in leaked renders.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau took to Weibo and confirmed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will launch in January. However, Pete has not revealed the exact date for the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro. As per earlier rumours, the OnePlus 10 Pro could debut during CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2022 which is slated to commence from January 5 in Las Vegas. That said, the OnePlus’ CES 2022 appearance could likely reveal something other than the OnePlus 10 lineup.

Furthermore, the rumour mill has revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will likely debut in China first and will launch globally only after a few months. Here’s everything we know about the OnePlus 10 Pro so far.

OnePlus 10 Pro leaked specifications

The OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display that offers QHD+ (3216x1440 pixels) resolution and supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone has a thickness of 8.7mm as per a previous leak by OnLeaks, and the full dimensions are 163.2 mm x 73.6 mm x 8.7 mm, which is the same as the OnePlus 9 Pro. 

The OnePlus 10 Pro is said to feature three cameras on the back which consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS and laser autofocus, a 48MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with 3x optical zoom.

On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera. The OnePlus 10 Pro will come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.

Jio effect: Bharti Airtel may soon shut down 2G, 3G and shift on 4G-only network

Taking a cue from Reliance Jio which offers only 4G network, Bharti Airtel is looking to transform it current setup to become the second 4G-only network provider in India. According to the company’s Chief Executive, Gopal Vittal, Airtel is expediting steps to deploy the fourth generation airwaves in the 900 Mhz band, which are currently used only for 2G voice services, to 4G only.
