Krafton working on ways to curb hacking in PUBG: New State

PUBG: New State is barely a few weeks old, but it looks like it's already dealing with its own fair share of hackers and cheaters. In a post on its official website, Krafton Inc acknowledged the presence of cheaters and noted that it will be doing its bit to ensure a fair playing environment.

“We have found a steep increase in the usage of unauthorized 3rd party programs during the weekend of November 20-22. We fully acknowledge the severity of the situation and understand the frustration and disappointment that the vast majority of Survivors will be feeling due to this increase and will vigorously continue to roll out updates and introduce new and improved measures in order to enhance our anti-cheat systems,” the company noted in the post.

PUBG: New State - Curtailing hackers

In order to curtail the hackers, the developers noted that the game went into maintenance on November 23 in order to apply certain changes. This included enhanced measures to detect the use of third-party programs. This would be able to do so in real-time. Not only that, but the developers also secured potential weaknesses that could be exploited. This could lead to the creation of unauthorized third-party programs.

Krafton notes that it increased the severity of restrictions imposed on users of such programs. The developers further noted that additional updates will be added next week to detect and restrict the use of unauthorised programs.

PUBG: New State was launched globally on November 11. The game is set in the year 2051 where the world is gripped in anarchy, leading to the emergence of factions. The game deploys 100 people on the new battleground called Troi. This is an 8km x 8km map that is filled with advanced weaponry and tactical support like drone calls, vehicles and new in-game mechanics. The PUBG New State also has realistic graphics with the introduction of global illumination technology making it better than all the other previous titles in the PUBG franchise in terms of graphical quality.
