Battlegrounds Mobile India launch tipped for June 18 yet again

Battlegrounds Mobile India might just launch on June 18 in India. Professional esports player Sagar ‘Maxtern’ Thakur has tipped that the battle royale game could release on June 18. Previously, popular esports athlete Abhijeet ‘Ghatak’ Andhare had hinted that the Battlegrounds Mobile India will launch in the third week of June. To recall, Krafton Inc announced the new avatar of PUBG Mobile India as Battlegrounds Mobile India, earlier this month. The pre-registration for the game went live on May 18 on the Google Play Store.

Sagar ‘Maxtern’ Thakur posted a cryptic tweet in binary. When converted to decimal it gives ‘18062021’, suggesting the date to be June 18. This is in line with previous rumours as well but we ask our readers to take it with a pinch of salt. There is no official word on the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India just yet.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is being teased heavily in the heads up to its official launch and the pre-registrations are live on the Play Store. The game is offering four rewards for those who pre-register for the game. The rewards can be claimed once the game goes live in India. These rewards include the Recon Mask, Recon outfit, Celebration Expert Title, and 300 AG.

Recently, Former Union Minister and current Arunachal Pradesh MLA, Ninong Ering, wrote to Prime Minister Modi asking for a ban on the upcoming mobile game in India. The minister’s letter states that it is “the relaunch of PUBG Mobile” and cites several reasons to call for a ban on Battlegrounds Mobile India.

Meanwhile, Battlegrounds Mobile India has also released a teaser video featuring actor Arshad Warsi and three popular players, Aaditya ‘Dynamo’ Sawant, Jonathan Amaral, and Chetan ‘Kronten’ Chandgude. The video asks players to get ready and pre-register for the game on the Play Store.

While announcing Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton revealed that the game will have exclusive in-game events like outfits and other such features. The developers also revealed that the game will power its own esports ecosystem in India with tournament and league matches with big prize pools. They will also collaborate with partners to boost the esports scene in India and will bring exclusive in-game content that will be India-centric.
